“The Gallery’s Australian Cinémathèque, at GoMA, presents retrospective and thematic film programs and exhibitions, exploring the important lines of influence between the moving image and other areas of visual culture, and showcasing the work of influential filmmakers and artists. Its mission is to collect, conserve, present and interpret film and screen culture.”
I just saw a movie FOR FREE as part of the Cinema program that GoMA runs. At the moment it’s playing a program curated by stylish babe/movie critc, Margaret Pomeranz, called Contemporary Australia: Women in Film that coincides with the current exhibition and it was FREE and it’s good Australian movies- I just watched 2:37- not the ones that make you cringe. Did I mention it was FREE?
Ah Brisbane, you’re alright.
