Killing Them Softly

I should pre-amble by stating that not only do I fangirl over movie stars like Brad Pitt, but I also am trying to get people to come see this movie, so I’m a tad biased. But Killing Them Softly started my day on Friday morning and I am now ridiculously excited for it’s release.

Killing Them Softly opens with two ex-cons, Frankie (Scoot McNairy) and Russel (Ben Mendelsohn) planning a heist on a mob protected card game with dodgy laundromat owner Johnny Amato (Vincent Curatola). Ray Liotta’s likeable Markie Trattman, who runs the game, had previously decided it was a smart idea to rob himself once before that resulted in brutal consequences. So, it’s a foolproof plan for the three crooks- take the money and blame it on the guy who’s done it before.
